Welcome to the Classic Escalating: Elite Tournament, where the best of the best of the best Classic escalating player will be determined. Here's how it works:
Requirements:
Rank: 1800+
Pay: Premium not necessary, but you will need to leave TWO slots open. Preference will be given to those with a MapRank of 1000+ on Classic Map, but all are encouraged to join.
Gameplay:
Map: Classic
Players per game: 7 (except for tie-breakers)
Gametype: Standard
Initial Troops: Automatic
Play Order: Sequential
Spoils: Escalating
Reinforcements: Chained
No Fog of War
No Trench Warfare
No Round Limit
Tournament:
Round 1:
Players will each be placed into 2 games of 7 random players. All advance.
Round 2:
Players will each be placed into 2 games of 7 random players. All advance.
Round 3:
Players will be placed into 2 games of 7 random players. All advance.
Round 4:
Players will be placed into 1 game of 7 random players each. All advance.
Tie-Breaker:
In the Tie-Breaker round, players with equal victories will be divided into games as necessary (2-8 players per game). Number of tied players will determine number of games played. All winners of Tie-Breaker games advance. (Note: 2-player Tie-Breakers will be determined by winner of 2/3 games)
[e.g. 18 players finish Round 4 with 2 total victories each. Only 1 player in the tournament has 3 victories and advances to the final round. Tied players enter 3, 6-player games. 3 winners advance. Remaining players enter 3, 5-player games. 3 winners advance]
Final Round:
7 finalists play one final game to determine the winner!
Rules:
A general NO COLLUSION policy will be requested: it will be against tournament rules to form alliances against players based on how many games in the tournament they have won so far. Violators will be chastised.
Pickle, I appreciate the crap out of your enthusiasm. You do have a net NEGATIVE 833 points on the classic map though. Will you be offended if I put you in the reserves and see if there's space in a couple days?
