I never made any argument about how this affects my winning chances. The argument was about the principle of the matter that I don't like it when this stuff happens, as is the case for most mafia players. (If anything having a player cleared by the mod helps my winning chances as town.)aage wrote: As to his "I quit" shenanigans, you read the thread. If he seriously thinks this game is so unwinnable for him when Mandy interferes and confirms so little, he can't be town right?
I said the mere fact that he had a tantrum is not alignment-indicative; that doesn't mean the contents of said tantrum are not alignment-indicative. I think that they are in this case -- we all questioned why Tim would claim with like six votes on him. This explains that fact.Thirdly, this:does not logically follow into a scum read on Tim. He says it's not alignment-indicative, and he is quite right. Doesn't make Tim scum, doesn't explain his vote.Metsfanmax wrote:Disagree. Tim has had exactly this type of tantrum before in other games and it's not alignment-indicative.
Thanks sweetie.About Mets: I am trying to avoid most of the ugliness here but I don't think it can be completely ignored, so I will try to keep this about his play. Prior to calling out the mod, I can't think of much of anything he has added to the game and saying he is here to" play the players" is a bit of a farce when you don't contribute much of anything. Since then, not much more.
You also said you were someone starting pokemondakky21 wrote:No, my role is Wild Pokemon, but 2 days later I got another role that I was claimed and that I can't no more attack or defend - that will my trainer decide. Because it is our priority to hang Team Rocket members and fight with Pokemons at night. And actually there is not much difference between you and me, you claimed Wild pokemon as well, just didn't said you were claimed. Maybe you were claimed by TR and that's why you don't want to confess?madmitch wrote:You also said you were someone starting pokemon,This doesn't feel right ,and why would you give all your info away ? Us other Pokemon can attack you and kill you. You want us to believe that you will die in the night anyway so why hang you
I call major bullshit on this post... It is clearly posted what time posters click Submit... There is no way there was an overlap of posting... Not to mention, when you DO click submit and someone has posted in the interim, it forces you to view that post before you can click submit...madmitch wrote:@ Dakky sorry You're post must of come in while I was trying to write,

If I am to speculate, then there are number of trainers and they got their pokeballs to throw at wild pokemons during night. So my speculation is that TR will catch another pokemon tonight, regardless if their first one is hanged or not. So if you think Mitch is their pokemon, which looks like it, I think we should hang him. I was hooked on mitch whole game due to his strange behavior and meta, so you could be correct. After all, you don't want TR to have 2 captured pokemons, do you?Anarkistsdream wrote:However, I also think that by hanging him, we just allow TR to choose another pokemon, and I have no wish for it to be me... I can't imagine you only get one pokemon though the whole game if you are a trainer.

Is it just me or "Go get them" sounds like "Go catch them" ? Aage is a trainer? Good to know.mandalorian2298 wrote:Aage, you still have a vote on BuJaber from your previous incarnation. I think you're reading too much into it. Mandy likes flavor text to make things interesting. They usually don't have any bearing on the game.dakky21 wrote:Is it just me or "Go get them" sounds like "Go catch them" ? Aage is a trainer? Mandy you should really stop with unnecessary comments, the setup itself is bastard enough.

You didn't have to say it. Exile had not yet confirmed he knew that. And that info was not in the win condition section so it is possible it wasn't in what Mandy sent him.

This coming from a person who MAYBE posts once a day? At least I admit to it... And I still keep up with th thread... Wow, another hypocrite. Put more into the game if you think you deserve to be up on that soapbox...
@exile
I was never told the types of pokemon... Only what I was... I have no idea how many types there are or what they are... So I agree with you there.

If your theory is correct, I would like masket to elaborate on this. I admit it sounds very strange to me that someone would be given a role pm for one thing and then told that they were now recruited before the game actually began.nagerous wrote:Interesting how Minister Masket voted dakky. This seems to suggest that this is not how the mechanic works. With the amount of wild Pokemon claims going around and also comments about starter Pokemon it could easily be scum that recruited dakky as much as it is town.
I was theorising based on what we know that Ash would start with Pikachu (electric), Brock with geodude (ground) and misty staryu (water)
Gary doesn't have a Pokemon in particular in the anime and Team rockets Pokemon are poison ones and I am not convinced poison Pokemon in the game so they could have easily recruited dakky from the wild Pokemon.
This also from the guy who didn't seem 100% at first in regards to believing Tim's claim. I feel you would have known this.
Maxleod wrote:Not strike, he's the only one with a functioning brain.
Whilst I am spouting accusations out there I am starting to think dakky might be Gary's starter Pokemon choice, just the way Masket voted immediately gives me the impression this isn't a generic trainer mechanic..strike wolf wrote:If your theory is correct, I would like masket to elaborate on this. Lynching mitch under the idea that he is a team rocket recruited pokemon is the same as Lynching any other cult recruit. It makes sense as a back up lynch but we should at least discuss who are the possible cult recruiters before aiming at the recruits as Lynching recruits only delays the inevitable.
fos Nark. Seems you are the only wild pokemon not to know about the other types.

That is not what mitch was referring to. Mitch made a mistake and thought that his PM meant that there were only X wild pokemon in the game, not X types of wild pokemon. He was just saying he doesn't know how many wild pokemon are in the game.The1exile wrote:I knew it, I was just trying not to give away all the info I had in my PM straight off in day 1kwanton wrote:You didn't have to say it. But here we are spelling out literally everything so I expect tonight to be an orgiastic festival of pokemon death and/or catching. I will say that I don't know if I've been told all the pokemon types or not, however, as I believe mitch alluded to earlier.
I'm an idiot. I see what you mean now. I still don't see why it precludes you cl;aiming another pokemon of the listed types, however. Also, if trainers already have a pokemon (the prevailing theory I believe) then they presumably already have this info, although i suppose maybe they can't talk yet.kwanton wrote:The1exile wrote:In his PM, I believe Mandy made it unquestionably clear that X is the number of wild pokemon. I never said I was not told ANYTHING. I said I didn't know how many other types of Pokemon there were... I know what I am strong and weak against... I know I am weak against two and strong against two types... But, does that mean that there are only five types? That was not directly written in my PM...kwanton wrote:
Then we have Nark who said he wasn't told anything. My original assumption was that ALL players would have been told the number of types of wild pokemon since that is such a central mechanic to the game. But it seems like that is not the case.
My guess: Nark and Exile are trainers of unknown alignment.
