Not exactly the place for this question, but..............
Can Standard and 1v1 tournaments be listed as separate categories in the Tournament Bar?????????????? Because, let's face it. 456 out of 500 tournaments are 1 v 1. kind of sad, really

You should have asked it in one of the database threads. The types were copied straight over from the old Tournament Hall of Fame. That's a shame that there aren't more multiplayer-games tournaments, but addition tags probably won't come until the next Database update (which obviously won't be for a while).

I have a question as well. You say something about going to specific directors doing specific tasks that you are requesting like one does the overseeing of giving out privileges or whatnot for a Tournament Organizer that wants them. I have yet to see a list of what director does what so just to clear it up, who does what and which director currently is the one to message to get privileges?

As for your question, no specific director gives out privileges because we all check the Create/Join forum for tournaments marked with [Full] and move them. [player]The Fuzzy Pengui[/player] is the director who handles minimum requirement exemptions and adds Open tournaments to the database, but that's slightly different from getting the privileges to make the games.
